At Main Street Paris, we believe the heart of a community beats strongest downtown.

We’re a nonprofit organization committed to revitalizing and preserving the historic charm of downtown Paris, Arkansas — not just as a place, but as an experience. Our mission is to foster a thriving, walkable downtown district that’s full of life, opportunity, and connection.

From community events like Merry on Main and the Back to School Splash, to economic development, placemaking, and historic preservation efforts, we’re working year-round to make downtown a destination where businesses grow, families gather, and memories are made.

We follow the nationally recognized Main Street Four-Point Approach®, focusing on:

  • Organization: Building partnerships and community pride

  • Promotion: Showcasing the unique character of downtown

  • Design: Enhancing the physical appearance of our district

  • Economic Vitality: Strengthening the local economy through support and innovation

Whether you're a lifelong local, a new neighbor, or just passing through, Main Street Paris is here to welcome you with open arms and a full calendar.

Together, we’re not just preserving our past — we’re building something beautiful for the future.

Our Transformation Strategies

At Main Street Paris, our work is guided by two key Transformation Strategies: Tourism and Pedestrian Experience. These focus areas help us shape a downtown that’s not only beautiful and welcoming, but also economically vibrant and full of life.

Why Tourism?
Paris has a story worth sharing — from our iconic Eiffel Tower to the scenic beauty of Mount Magazine nearby. We’ve chosen to invest in tourism because we believe our town can be a must-visit destination for day-trippers, road trippers, and adventure-seekers alike. By showcasing our small-town charm, unique shops, and year-round events, we’re putting Paris on the map for visitors — and driving economic growth for local businesses while we’re at it.

Why Pedestrian Experience?
A great downtown should feel like a place you want to slow down in. We're committed to creating a walkable, people-friendly environment that invites folks to stroll, explore, and stay a while. From benches and lighting to sidewalk improvements, landscaping, and public art — everything we do is about making downtown Paris not just a destination, but an experience.

By focusing on Tourism and Pedestrian Experience, we’re not just revitalizing downtown — we’re reimagining it as the heart of connection, community, and creativity in Logan County and beyond.
